I had the opportunity last month to visit my wife, the famous Baobei Funky Feng's home of Beijing. The first thing you notice there is that they really love glutinous rice:
That shameless plug aside, the number one fashion rule I found in China was that you can always add animal ears to any ensemble.
It's generally true that Chinese do like anthropomorphized cuteness, even when it comes to food:
