Dear Chutzpanim,
When I first came to Israel, I had thought that the place would be quite brown and desert-like. For places close to the coast, it is surprisingly green. During this last Shabbat, I took a bike trip to Ramat Gan National Park (HaPark HaLeumi, הפארק הלאומי). It's ~ 8 km from Tel Aviv, so takes a leisurely ~30 minutes.
Ramat Gan National Park is not actually a National Park-- it's really a large city park complete with a lake. It's located to the south of Aluf Sadeh road on Yarkon in Ramat Gan.
The park is rather large (the second largest in the country to Park HaYarkon, north of Tel Aviv).
There is a lake in the park.
With wide boulevards.
Some pretty shubberies!
A waterfall!
Lot's and lots of birds live in the park, with many different kinds.
Here's a cool looking bird:
Some cool looking garden will be here when the trees are larger:
And lot's of kitties! Presumably they like the birds ;P
Well, stay Chutzpan Towarzyszu!
-Sauce
