Well the Israelis had to scare us again with an air raid practice. I was on my way to work this morning when the sirens went off. My wife called me in a panic asking what to do, so I told her to go into the hallway. Later I found this on the Jerusalem post's website.

It reminded me of the air raids in Tel Aviv the November before last. They're not really dangerous, but it's still frightening, statistics or not.
I told my wife to wait until the sirens stopped and we heard the explosion, but the explosion never came. Another practice.
Her parents had visited from China a few weeks past, and while we were in Eilat there was a rocket attack from the Sinai. Her parents refused to believe it was an attack at the time, and while I was trying to usher them into the corridor, her father, a professor from China, kept waving his hands and explaining "No, wind! Noooo, wee- ind!" Even when the bombs went off and we were safe, he didn't believe it was an attack.
Well, life goes on.
